New resource for making emergency preparedness strategies accessible.

NThe goal of the Personal Response to Emergency Preparedness Project, (PREP) was to enable British Columbians who are blind, deafblind and partially sighted to be better prepared to cope with the ever-growing number of emergencies we are facing in the province. PREP determined the level of preparedness through a targeted survey, examined the emergency preparedness resources currently available, and gathered insights regarding emergency preparedness blindness-related tips from those with lived experience through focus groups.

This resulted in a comprehensive, accessible resource for persons who are blind which can be found on their website at https://www.blindcanadians.ca/bc-prep.
