The City of Port Coquitlam offers sensory-friendly swim times at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre (PCCC) leisure pool. The weekly swim sessions feature a calmer, quieter environment for pool users and are held weekly on:
Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2pm
Thursdays from 3-4:30pm
The swims are open to everyone while providing an inclusive space for those with sensory processing needs, as well as anyone who might find a less stimulating environment helpful. Expanding sensory-friendly spaces and services is part of the City's ongoing commitment to enhance accessibility, implement the Accessibility Action Plan goal, and respond to resident feedback.
