For 2026, additional shade structures and more cultural and event program are planned. The new Westwood Lake Beach improvements supports the City’s commitment to accessibility, wellness and recreation and delivers upon some key actions from City Plan. Our Accessibility and Inclusivity committee, along with the Child Development centre and other partners, provided feedback throughout the design process and were integral to the project success.
