The Town of Comox has taken several steps to make its website easier to use and more accessible for the community. A dedicated Accessibility section now brings important information together in one easy‑to‑find place, including the Town’s Accessibility Statement, a straightforward way to share accessibility feedback, and clearer information about accessible public spaces and services. Many Town services can also be accessed online, such as applications, inspections, property file requests, document access, and payments, reducing the need for in‑person visits while still ensuring staff support is available when needed. The Accessibility Map helps residents and visitors plan routes by showing slope, elevation, and accessible amenities across the community, and has received over 800 views since 2025, showing strong community use. In addition, the Development Tracker provides a clear, visual way to view development activity and zoning information. An accessibility widget is also available on the website, allowing users to adjust text size, contrast, and layout to suit their needs. Together, these improvements are helping people with disabilities, seniors, caregivers, and others access Town information and services more easily and confidently.
